That Fabric Place....

Updated: Jul 22, 2018

Not the most productive or pleasant trips I have had...

The explore was taking me to the North of England, to a Fabrics Factory that had become rather popular of late. I could see why, it was particularly photogenic, old knitting machines and the like.

The trip started out well but soon turned to heavy, persistent rain, flooding and the further North I went, snow developed until I finally arrived at the location amongst deep snow. I wasn't looking forward to the return journey.

I perused the perimeter for what I believed to be the access, it was sealed tight. It was obvious that this had been done recently, more than likely due to the heavy foot traffic it had attracted. Unbelievable. Not one of my better days.

I searched the area for anything that would be worth photographing, leaving with nothing after all that effort wasn't an option.

There was a small building that that was adjacent to the main building, it had part of the door damaged so in I went. There were a few interesting areas, a few redundant knitting machines and a rather nice workshop. Thankfully I managed to get a few images that I was happy with. Disaster averted. Hopefully, the next journey will be more productive...
